Three (Four?) Little Ducklings!

A new soapuppy opened their eyes. At first, they were confused. But then... They heard the sounds of distant... quacking? Rainy stood up and approached the wooden pier to see three little ducklings splashing around happily. Rainy wagged their tail excitedly. 

There were also some ducks, which Rainy saw at the other end of the pier. Rainy quickly rushed up to them, but then they took flight. Rainy fluttered their wings in curiosity, before looking back at the open sea. They took a running start, and then flapped their wings- and they plummeted into the water, for they could not fly... 

They washed up on shore, defeated and upset. A nearby Soapuppy gave a judgy look, before muttering, "You know you're not part duck... Right?" Rainy stood up, tail between their legs, as this sunk in. 

They were about to walk off till they heard the quacking again. Rainy looked over, seeing the ducklings waddling on the sand, and their tail instinctively wagged as they joined the march happily. 

But then... The ducklings waddled into the water. Rainy didn't know HOW to swim yet... The ducklings paused as they floated in the ocean, staring back at Rainy as if expecting them to join them. 

But as if the ducklings realized, they turned upside down in the water, and kicked their feet back and forth. Rainy turned their head in curiosity, before approaching the water. 

They paddled their paws and- they did it! 

They stayed afloat! 

Rainy was now part of the duckling march! 

Rainy quickly dog-paddled after them with glee.

The next day, Rainy was now a part of the duckling family. 

They led the march, loud and proud as they yapped and the ducklings quacked. Rainy fluttered their wings with joy and pride. 

Timmy, Tommy, and Bob followed! Yippee!
