A Science Experiment
It was a sunny day as Opal and Urchin met up in the park. They both looked at each other and waved, walking towards each other.
“Hey Urchin, are you ready to try some experiments?” Opal would as the other, tail swaying excitedly. She didn't tell the other quite yet what she had planned. Luckily, Urchin didn't question it at all.
“Sure, why not. Where to?” They asked, following their friend as she bounded towards her house. Urchin let out a small snickers before following along.
Once in Opal's house, she excitedly ran around her friend. “Okay! So! I was thinking about something earlier.. And I want to try this thing I heard about! I overheard someone mentioning combining Soappuppies and Dirtkitties together, and I want to figure it out!” Opal basically screamed at her friend. Urchin looked annoyed for a moment before laughing slightly.
“Well, miss enthusiastic, let's try some experiments then, shall we?” Urchin spoke, which made Opal dart to another room, before coming back and dumping a pile of random things on a table.
None of it made sense, absolutely none of it. But there were a few things that did make sense in that pile. Opal and Urchin both dug through the pile, finding random objects and gadgets, tossing the ones unrelated to their experiments to the sides. That would then leave them with baking supplies, and bath products.
“Okay.. We have the stuff needed! But I wonder how we'll get them to even really mix..” Opal said, picking up a soap bar, and a cookie cutter. “Maybe we cut out a worm shape somehow?”
“What about throwing soap and frosting in a mixing bowl?” Urchin suggested, which made Opal's tail wag.
“Of course!! One sec!” She almost immediately ran to the kitchen to grab her mixing bowl, and came back relatively quickly with it. “I got it!”
“Sweet, let's mix some soap and frosting, shall we?” Urchin said, pouring some water in with a soap bar, hoping to get it to be less stiff at least. Luckily, to their surprise, the soap bar would soften up! They both cheered, and proceeded with their experiment.
They would put liquid soap in the bowl, along with some frosting and sprinkles, and mix them all up with the soap bar. Everything did mix up as well! It just.. looked and smelled weird at first. Opal threw a bath bomb in it as well, letting it fiz out before mixing it up with the rest of the ingredients. But, the two strange consistencies would indeed mix. Leaving them with a bowl of frosting soap, with little heart sprinkles mixed in with it. Ironically, the color of the mixture was a nice pink shade, one you would see from many flowers out in the fields. It also had some white streaks, mainly from the soap mixed in with the frosting. There was also a lot of red mixed into it from the bath bomb they had thrown in last second, but it made it look like love!
"Wow, that actually looks really yummy.." Urchin said, and Opal gently bapped her friend's face.
"No eating, remember it's an experiment!" Opal said, before they shared a quick laugh. They then walked away from the table to go hang out properly, letting the experiment sit in the mixing bowl. Maybe, just maybe, something would happen with this. They had no idea if it would or not, but it is the season of love, and that sure meant magical things could happen.
