Part Three: plushies in peril

As you gallop about the games area of the boardwalk during the evening, you come across a lively section of the games booths full of soapuppies. It’s difficult to move around the lines looping through every lane between every tent, knocking into legs and toys and flying soapuppies alike. You get to play a few, pick up some tiny prizes, throw a few bottle tosses, water gun a few clowns in the mouth, and stop at a ring toss stand.
The rafters of the tent are dotted with prizes, as opposed to every other stand only having an odd few teddies left. Plush seals, bears, elephants, donkeys, monkeys… think of the animal and this stand has it hanging around in plush form. But it’s near the end of the day, it feels a bit odd that the stand hasn’t handed these off yet.
“No good boss.” You hear an accented Soapuppy speak. You can’t help but listen in. “Checked in with the other side of the walk, they had the extra box but… none of the stuff was in it. Looks like it got lost.”
A bunny with golden eyes and accents sighs, but smiles nonetheless. “That’s what happens when you guys leave open boxes all over the walk on opening day.” The bunny responds, fixing his hat. “Looks like I’ll be rationing these little guys til the end of the event.” He motions up to his plushie hoard.
So that’s what it was. You were hearing chatter that some of the booth runners were handing out “half-tickets” so that people had to win multiple games just to get one prize. You didn’t think it would be that bad but… lo and behold.
“Unless… a certain somebunny wants to chip in?”
You see the bunny meet eyes with you. “I get you. It’s not fair. One of my guys lost our backup stock of game prizes, so I’ve had to resort to this. But… If we end up finding those plushies… I’ll make it worth your while.” He tips his hat over, showing a giant roll of golden tickets shining under the brim, like a second hat under their normal hat? Weird! “Do we have a deal? It won’t be just you, and I can probably smuggle you some extra prizes for your worries. Sound fair?”
You hesitate but… two whole plushies… Who are you to say no?
