kiki slug on soapuppies.com
hi im Kiki... i own and manage the website, don't feel afraid to reach out if you need help with anything. any moderation stuff preferably redirect to actual mods!
i am slow at site updates and responses, patience is appreciated!! i don't mind asking to offer on my characters that aren't stated to be off lims!!
i have a soft TOS for my designs in soapuppies, i will not strictly enforce these, but i'd really appreciate if they were abided by!
- i do not want my non-soapuppy designs imported to the species, sorry
- please do not edit my designs or art anywhere publicly. if you want edits, i will likely be able to make them for you as long as they are reasonable.
- if a design was free (e.g. a request, freebie) and has no additional art, i'd appreciate if they weren't used for trades for art/currency or surrendered to the pound. you may trade them normally, just be reasonable and don't inflate the value!
- please try to be courteous about collecting! i really appreciate people liking my art but i would like for my designs to go to a variety of users and mass-collecting can make me feel a bit uneasy ^^
A large portion of the custom-modified aspects (i.e. not an extension nor base Lorekeeper) of Soapuppies are my own work, as is the entirety of the customization with way the site looks, custom info pages, etc. My usage rules for the technical aspects of Soapuppies are essentially just do so in good faith!
You may:- Take any amount of tasteful inspiration for layout aspects
- Use developer tools to understand how a certain thing was done
- e.g. wondering about the pawprints on the navbar, then implementing the ::before pseduo-element on your own site
- Take inspiration from a site theme for your own
- e.g. making a Frutiger Aero theme of your own with similar glossy and bouncy aspects
- Copy the full layouts of entire pages
- Use developer tools to directly copy-paste code, no matter how minor
- Colorpick or directly use aspects from the siteβs themes
If you're curious about anything on-site and want to do something similar for yourself, I'm more often than happy to share the kinds of resources and extensions I used. The Lorekeeper framework is a collaborative project and I am very happy that others admire my work, I simply prefer for it to not be used and passed off as someone elseβs. Think of it in the same way as the level of inspiration thatβs okay to take from visual art!
