Hi everyone! The two of us that primarily handle updates have either been experiencing health issues or general business with school and travel, and we did go on a bit of an informal "hiatus" as a result, sorry about that! We have our June news and some leftover stuff from May!
Pound Rule Updates:
- Characters won from our monthly pound raffles will no longer be allowed to be resurrenedered to the pound. They may be traded and gifted per usual, but we don't want the pound raffles to be used as an easy way to get Bubbles when they're intended to get older characters out of the pound.
- If the character is redesigned, an exception can be made, but extremely minor redesigns with the intent to get rid of them will not pass either!

- There are no pound raffles for this month, however, following large community approval, we would like to get a Discord game we planned out a while ago started soon. This game will involve using designs from the pound. If you do not want your designs used, you may opt-out privately via this form, or comment here! Previous opt-outs are still kept privately, so you do not need to do it again if you already have. Extra information is available beneath this dropdown:
Toggle SpoilerA monthly server game where users can select an old pound design to redesign, then give up to be raffled off! Duckies will be rewarded as a prize.To assure people are comfortable with their designs being used and that the game doesn't aim to target any particular person, we have a few rules in place that are set!- The designs available to be redesigned will be chosen based on date (likely no less than 6 months old), and only characters within that pool will be eligible for the game
- Eligable designs are randomly assigned, not chosen by the artist or staff
- Original designers of the designs will be given priority to claim their own designs
- Redesigns can't be extremely drastic and should be easily recognizable as the original character. They should aim only to refresh the design, not to overhaul or one-up!
- Users will not receive Bubbles for submissions.
- While not a formal rule, and not something we can enforce at the moment, we would like to openly discourage extremely low effort designs being created for the pound. In the future, we would like to create our own base for pound usage to encourage a diverse usage of unique traits, but for now, please remember to create designs in good faith rather than making extremely quick designs for Bubbles! Submissions do not have to be detailed by any means, but should be created with intent. Thank you!!
Miscellaneous:
- Due to persistent issuses staff has had with being unable to access certain sites or certain sites posing security risks, we are now only allowing the following for images linked in submissions, as we know these are what will work for our team. In particular, we would like to request people to stop linking PostImages and Catbox files, as Postimages has a lot of dangerous adverts on its site, and Catbox rarely works for many of our staff members. This is for pound and MYO submissions, prompt submissions are still only allowed to be hosted on the on-site galleries.

- Summer borders and pets are now in rotation.
- The plastic eggs from the dailies can no longer be opened, and are now marked as collectables. They can be sold for a small amount of Duckies, or kept! We may introduce more collectables in the future.
- Transformation art of Dirtkitties now does -60% rather than -30%. This is because the previous number was too small for the site to calculate any difference on pieces without any bonuses due to the way calculations are rounded up.
- Trait adders have been reverted back to their original prices. Uncommon ones are 50 Duckies, and rare ones are 100.
- A new border by kitterbot is available to be used by all users! This can be chosen by default in your settings. It has variants for many different flags!
- If a flag you want to see is unrepresented, you may make a comment here and it can be brought up to the artists of this + upcoming borders. Please be respectful, if I missed any in my list it was not out of malice!
Monthly Prompt:
This month's prompt is drinks! Sun's out, so it's time to cool down! Add a scene background to earn the bonus!
Upcoming:
- A small pride event will be held once again this year! This will include prompts, new collectables and a batch of adopts! This will start on the 15th.
- Breedings will open this month on the 20th!

The end of easter 2026
After having some time to collect her thoughts, Cocoa had a pretty good idea of where the eggs had spurred from. There had been an occasional white crumb in their trail, and the patterns painted on the eggs were in a style unmistakable to her. It all had to be the work of a friend she knew very well, and she’d found herself outside the doors of the pound to seek confirmation.
She nudged the door open and carefully wandered around in search of her. Many Soapuppies and Dirtkitties were racing around with food, water, and blankets, but the one she was in search for should have been on a break, and likely hiding out somewhere. Not too far away, she spotted movement in a pile of blankets in a shelf, and quietly approached them.
“Connie?” Two long, pale ears perked up from the blankets. The following stillness made it quickly apparent to Cocoa she wasn’t getting more until she continued. “Sudsy told me about all the eggs she’d been finding all over the place, and I was wondering if–”
Before she could say another word, a little rabbit sprung up from the covers and pressed a tiny paw over her muzzle in a weak attempt to silence her. Cocoa stifled a laugh. Once the paw was hesitantly removed from her mouth, she gestured her head down the hallway. They could go somewhere more secret instead.
The rabbit hopped off of the shelf and, in a sugary puff, quickly grew back into her Dirtkitty self. Cocoa lead her down the hallway before speaking in a hushed voice. “So it was you who hid everything?”
Connie didn’t respond, but her shy stir of a paw was enough answer. Cocoa turned and leaned up to press her muzzle against his forehead with a purr. “That’s sweet of you.” she cooed. “You could have told me you wanted to help, silly.”
Connie sighed and pulled her head back a bit. “I guess, but–”
“How about this?” Cocoa interrupted. “We can work together from now on. You can bake all you want, and I’ll sell and give out everything you make for you.”
Despite her enthusiasm, Connie didn’t look like she shared it. She glanced to the side, ears drooping slightly.
Cocoa’s expression softened. “I know you’re shy, but everykitty loved the things you made! It’ll be okay if you put them out there, I promise it’ll be worth it, alright?”
Finally, a small smile crept up on Connie’s face, then she placed her paw against Cocoa’s, much smaller, one and nodded.
Deal. Looks like the treats around here are about to get even tastier!
