Pound Rule CHanges

While this is not to target or single out any individual user, we want to put some additional guidelines in place on designs for the pound. The pound is meant to be a way for users to exchange designs, so we want to make sure every design is being created in good faith and to be adopted, rather than being rushed out to adopt others' designs.

Note that these new rules have a lot more leeway on clearly intentioned designs, but we will begin to be much stricter on things such as base and doodle designs from here on out.

  • Bases now require a significantly larger amount of unique lineart for their usage to be allowed. They will now require several large changes to the base, or at least one large change with several other small changes. A graphic on base usage has been created. This is not strict, but a general guideline on what we're seeking.

    • Bases that come with tail, accessory, etc. options do not count for this. The additional lineart. must be your own art.

    • Edits cannot be reused across submissions and must be fully unique each time.

  • We've created a set of guidelines that all pound designs should now abide by. We don't have strict requirements for this, but we now have a clearer visual of what we're looking for in pound submissions. Again, this is flexible. As long as you're creating designs with good intent, your design generally will not be rejected!

  • If pound submissions appear to be significantly lower in effort to other designs you have submitted to the site, we have the right to send them back. You don't have to worry about chibi or sketchy designs that aren't in line with your regular work, but obviously rushed art will no longer be accetped.

We really appreciate everyone sticking with us through all these rule changes. While we do try to be as lax and fun as possible, as this species grows more and more into a community, we want to make sure everyone is having a good and fair experience and that staff work goes as smoothly as possible.

Please give me some time to update the pound page itself, I am very behind on updating the site's HTML, haha... (Looking at you, Alfred-iconed Cocoa...)

Trait CHanges

Traits between Soapuppies and Dirtkitties have been changed to fix some minor discrepencies.

  • On Soapuppies, Additional Eyes, Many Additional Eyes, Additional Body Parts, and Many Additional Body Parts have been merged into just Additional Body Parts
  • Dirtkitties now have the Multiple Gummy Types trait, which will henceforth be required when using more than one gummy types.
  • Additional Tails on Dirtkitties has been downgraded to uncommon

Pre-existing MYOs and characters should be updated with these traits now, but please feel free to bring any stragglers to our attention in Discord or via a claim! Compensation will not be provided for downgraded or removed traits, sorry.
