Monthly prompt
This month's prompt is caretaking. More information can be found here!
New soapuppy trait
Introducing the Foam Substance trait! This substance is thick and goopy, similar to a lather. This is typically a solid color!
Dirtkitty overhaul
Dirtkitties have been changed to now resemble the trait system of Soapuppies! All modifier traits have become body type traits, and Chocolate Dirt has been converted into Dirt Body. Similar to Soapuppies, Dirt Body will only need to be added to trait lists if it is being used without any body types besides Material Body.
We understand that this is a big change! Dirtkitties originally had the Chocolate Dirt and Flavored Dirt traits as indicators of their anatomy, which is being made of crushed chocolate cookies. We encountered several issues with this system and have received a lot of feedback from our users regarding these traits. Our solution to the problems of traiting colors was ultimatley to detrait them, while still keeping the theme of the species by adding an additional feature.
introducing flavors!
A "flavor" of a Dirtkitty is a small indicator on their masterlist entries that communicates what the dirt part of their bodies are made of. A full guide for how flavors work can be found here and on the species guide.
Areas of the site will be updated soon to include these changes.
User customs update
Monetary value of user customs can now be added to masterlist entries! Proof of transaction (screenshots of messages, a user's commission prices, etc.) needs to be provided when submitting the MYO. Past entries can be updated through our regular appraisal process. Value can only be added if the design was created as a Soapuppy/Dirtkitty custom.
User customs will still not have the "OFC" prefix, as they are not made by our staff members.
Users are also now permitted to publicly put out advertisements for Soapuppy customs, however, we two rules surrounding this.
- The fact that the custom is not official must be disclosed in the ad.
- Which party will be providing the items neccesary for submission must be disclosed in the ad.

The Heart Shaped Soap Bar and Heart Shaped Cookie are now avaliable in Sudsy's Shop and Cocoa's Confectionary respectively!
Carys and Ruby will be raffled off to two lucky members of our community! Tickets for the raffles may be purchased in Sudsy's Shop and Cocoa's Confectionary. There is maximum number of 10 entries per user to make things as fair as possible! If you missed it in the prompt submission, the babies made during this event are permitted to be submitted as MYOs. Please do not enter the raffles for these characters if you aren't comfortable with similar-looking characters to yours on the masterlist!
Valentines 2026 Week 2

February 7th - February 28th
"Surely if we put enough love into the recipe, anything is possible!" she declares while adding flour to the mixing bowl. Love...? Could that be the answer? While Cocoa busied herself with the recipe, Milo turned to the couple, suddenly getting an idea. It was laughably simple but... maybe it might just work.
"Hey, what if you two carved a little soap bar together? A symbol of your love?" Milo suggested sheepishly.
Ruby and Carys nodded eagerly before the two of them got to work. By the time they were finished, they'd carved a little heart shaped soap bar! Awww!
Milo took it from them gently before handing it over to Cocoa, who smiled brightly. "Do you think it'll work?" He asked her nervously. "Only one way to find out!" Cocoa declared as she tossed it in with the cookie dough.
Everyone held their breath as Ruby and Carys shaped the dough into a Dirtkitty and popped it into the oven. Magic began to flood the room, swirling around the four of them before making its way into the oven. Everyone glanced at each other excitedly before the door popped open, sparkles and steam pouring out from inside the oven. They had baked a Dirtkitty!

Story Prompt:
Design a baby between PRZ-2561 and PRZ-2562!

Completing this prompt will give you a Heart Shaped Cookie, a Heart Shaped Soap, the Love Scientist award, a mystery letter, and some duckies! That's a lot of loot, you're not going to want to miss this one!
Valentines 2026 Week 1

February 7th - February 28th
"Hello!" The soapuppy calls out, before gesturing towards herself and her partner. "My name is Carys, and this is my partner, Ruby. You're the valentines guy, right?"
"The valentines guy....?" Milo inquired.
No, he was a mailman, wasn't he? Is this what he was known for?!
...maybe he is the Valentines guy.
"Uh. Yeah. That's me, I think."
"Oh good," Carys replied, "See, Ruby and I have... a bit of a problem. We'd like to bake a Dirtkitty kitten together, but because I'm not a Dirtkitty, it doesn't work! Is there any way you could help us?"
Milo's jaw dropped. A Soapuppy and a Dirtkitty baking a kitten together... no, that wasn't possible, was it? He gulped. What was he supposed to do? Carys and Ruby looked up at him with hopeful eyes. He couldn't say no to them. He nodded, and the couple began to thank him excitedly. Surely there had to be some way, right? Maybe if he asked Cocoa... she knows a lot about baking, doesn't she? In the meantime, he'll have to come up with some ideas.
Happy Valentine's day, everyone! We have a small event ongoing for the next few weeks. A second part with more special things will be coming soon!

Pound Redesign Game Opt-Outs

We have a new game that is Discord-exclusive regarding redesigning older pound designs, but we would like to extend the opportunity to those not within the server to opt out of their designs being used as well. Check out the form here if you'd like to!
There will be about a week before the game is finalized to give people the time to respond, but opt-outs will be open at any time, you can simply submit a claim to do so. The Pound page will also be updated with this information when the game is finalized, so any newer users will also be able to view information about design usage.

January Newsletter + Second Anniversary!

We've come quite far until then, and we have a bit in store for this year's celebration! Please also be sure to read this newsletter in full, as it has a lot of information on current and upcoming stuff!

January's monthly prompt is fireworks! Draw your Soapuppy watching or lighting fireworks!

Another thousand characters on the masterlist! Once again, we've reserved slot #2000 for a very special friend!
As per usual, Tickets can be purchased for 25 Duckies in Cocoa's Confectionary! For the sake of fairness, you can only purchase 10 entries, meaning you will have a maximum of 11 total if you've claimed the bundle!
This design is a collab between zorua, sam, fennecbug, and mikeyway! It will be rolled on February 1st.
Anniversary Bundle:
A free 2 year anniversary box can be found in Cocoa's Confectionary! It includes many fun goodies for you all!
Recruitment Rush
Starting this month and reoccurring anually, referral rewards will be tripled for the month of January! Any new registrations that mark you as a referral will reward 60 Duckies instead of the regular 20!
Please note regular event rules apply. Multi-accounting or exploitation (e.g. getting friends who don't have interest in the site to sign up) is prohibited and may result in a strike or ban depending on severity.

- slug has formally returned as a web developer!
- We have decided to prohibit Imgur links from being used in pound submissions due to being inaccessible to some of our staff. Imgur links will no longer be accepted! ImageBB, sta.sh, Filegarden, and Google Drive are good alternatives!

Starting tomorrow, there will be an advent calender on-site to claim a daily prize! Dedicated claimers might just get a very special prize at the end! The advent will be accessible from this link, and will also be added to our nav bar shortly!

Soapuppies is now OPEN FOR REGISTRATION!!! Everyone rejoice!
Trait changes
Scented has been downgraded to a common trait to compliment the common Toppings trait. Since all of our non-exclusive items are free, compensation will not be provided for this, apologies! Hopefully this is helpful for all your future MYOs, though!
POund changes
Starting from now, the duckie value of Soapuppies and Dirtkitties will be adjusted to 700 duckies, which is the price of a Deluxe Bar or Gourmet Cup. We feel this is a more fair price for all of you! These values need to be added manually so it will take some time for all of them to be adjusted. Happy shopping!
Additionally, we will now be holding monthly raffles of pound designs to help these designs find homes with people who want them. The number of pound designs raffled per month may vary slightly until we find an amount that works best, since we aren't sure at the moment how pound input will change with open registrations.
You can self-enter for these designs here! You can join as many as you'd like, but can only win one.
